The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) was established in 1975 by the Act of Legislature, education is provided to bring out the best potential in a student so as to develop their aspirations and nurture their talent. The Board has fulfilled the agenda and objectives by the legendary and dynamic visionary of some of the significant leadership of chairpersons in the last 34 years.

The JKBOSE conducts regular/private 10th class examination every year in the month of March and the fee for the annual examination is about Rs 540/- for regular students.
